At the moment I am interested in shorting USD, the most interesting for me is NOK. Norway has a great oil surplus, and they don't depend neither on it nor on public debt.
USD/NOK presents very nice trendline down, however I would prefer to short it at the top of the price range.
The risk may be firm sign from the US that there would be no another turn of QE, but the positive outcome is 2% interest rate in Norway, so time plays in favor of the trade.
rapid fall of oil price may be a bad signal too but we need to remember that not only mid east turmoil plays a part in oil prices but also depreciating dollar, therefore these are fundamentals we need to look at.
Asked about the gold, I think it's a very hot commodity, and I wouldn't touch it at all, however it has a good outlook to go even higher from where it is now. Oil at 110 looks good to me. It may be higher but same as gold I consider it a speculative activity rather than it's true value.
